Springtime cards

Hi everyone! Just sharing a couple more cards I made – as inspired by the Moxie Fab World: Trigger Tuesday here.

My word, that’s one happy looking pic isn’t it?! I love the light just flooding into that hallway.

Here’s my entry for the Moxie Fab challenge anyhoo:
thankyou_flower1First up, I went for a shaped card because I like the fretwork shaping on the window panes of the door, and just the single bloom in a vase is so simple and elegant. My pink flower embellishments weren’t really working the look though, so it had to be these felt cuties that I got from Capture The Magic ;)

While I was in the zingy, flowery frame of mind, I made this one too:
thankyou_card3I stamped in Versamark on kraft for a simple look so it doesn’t fight with the happy, spotty lime paper, and gave the edges a bit of Distress Ink in Tea Dye, but the pic doesn’t show that up too well.
This stamp is an oldie but a goodie from Hero Arts called ‘Watercolor Coneflower’, F3854.
I popped up the sentiment by using an American Crafts Remarks journaling sticker from the ‘Love Potion’ set. I think it was last year’s Valentine collection, but I like the yellow border and funky shape. Message spelt out with My Little Shoebox alpha stickers in Butter.
Thanks_card4_closeupJust some dotty Liquid Pearls for a border – got to admit I was inspired to dig those out by this cute card by Jackie Pedro. Nice.

Also, I dug these pics off the camera from our trip out at the weekend. Just a jaunt up to Clifton, which is a very pretty suburb of Bristol. And not really at all suburban, quite posh really.
Signs of spring…

And also – beware: gratuitous food photo coming up! – belated birthday goodness in the form of a cream tea at MeMe Chocolat. Mmmmm….
creamteaDidn’t have chance to snap a pic of hubby’s carrot and orange cake. He had scoffed it before I’d even finished spreading my clotted cream, so I guess it must have been good anyway.

So that’s all for now, bye! Rx
