Trend-Alert Tuesday – revisited?

Hi all!
So, dare I say it… it is only a few weeks to Christmas! (I know that there is the small matter of Thanksgiving to think of this week for my US pals – hope you have a wonderful holiday everyone!)
But yes, less than six – argh, six! – weeks to go…

So I thought I’d squeeze in a little extra fun for our remaining Tuesdays – revisiting some of my Trend-Alert themes from earlier this year.
I always felt a little sorry that my regular Trend-Alert Tuesday postings.. well, kind of, fizzled out… Truth is, it was all at a time when life got a bit too hectic and added to which, I was trying not to invest in trendy-wendy stash! Financially speaking, I needed to curb the amount of new products that I was indulging in, sadly :(

Well, time to revisit a few of those trends methinks – maybe I’ll even try giving some of them a whirl with a festive spin?

Here’s a card I made a couple of weeks ago… when outdoor photo shoots were still possible round here!!!!
Trend-Alert Tuesday retro typewriter cardThe theme for this trend is ‘retro gadgets’ and this stamped typewriter image was a IRAK from my blogging pal Pauline, over at Craft Obsession.
It’s an October Afternoon stamp.

I made a background panel from assorted paper strips – using up all kind of scraps… Papermania.. Melissa Frances… Basic Grey….  My Mind’s Eye amongst others.
Then a few embellishments of a punched butterfly, buttons, a flower, a tag fixed with washi….

That’s all for now then.
Bye and thanks so much as always for stopping by, Rx

Hi there Ruth! Great collage card! Using up scraps is fun and can really be inspiring. The ticket really adds some nice color and text.
