Had heaps of fun last night finding my srapbooking feet again, with a layout for today’s Trend-Alert idea….
I am still swooning over using my new My Mind’s Eye stash and put it to good use in the new My Mind’s Eye sketch layout challenge #33:
I rotated the sketch to complement the feeling of height in my photo of the church of Sacré-Coeur, Paris.
I started off with My Mind’s Eye 12×12 paper ‘Follow Your Heart – Be Amazing, Ephemera’ machine-stitched to my cardstock and then added a Core’dinations panel of aqua card as a backdrop for my photo.
I layered up more Be Amazing paper – this time from the 6x6pad in the blue tile-effect pattern Geo Stars, and used my Trend-Alert Tuesday hexagon-tastic chipboard border and yellow hexie tile piece, both from MME ‘Be Amazing – chipboard elements’.
The second strip element was made from a ruffle of seam binding sewn with a zigzag. I topped them off with an epoxy MME brad ‘Be Amazing – decorative brads’ and scrap of lace trim.
More MME chip describe the “lovely day” on our spring morning in Paris, and the title is made with alphas – mini MLS stickers in butter and K&CO Brenda Walton Maison – then a few pearls in latte finish off.
Had great fun with this – I need to get more photos printed and do more scrapping methinks!
And in honour of the Tuesday trend…. More hexie fun is happening out in blogland – I’ve spotted so many cute crafty ideas I had to share… Enjoy:
