Mother’s Day celebrations – another FTTC160

Hi and Happy Mother’s Day to everyone who is celebrating today ;)
I’m sharing the second Mother’s Day card that I made – this time for Graham’s mum. And it’s another that I’m entering into the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday challenge FTTC160, to use lace and scallops.
I had fun with my mum’s card for that challenge so I thought, why not? I’ll go for it with the other one too!

First, let me show you that lace which I tied in a bow and layered over a pretty scallop-punched border (which was a RAK included in an order I placed at Dies to Die For some time back – I think it uses this Martha Stewart border punch):

And here is a look at my stamping… I used the Flourishes ‘Spring is Sprung’ clear set for the birdie image as the main focus and stamping the coordinating bluebell accent to create a background…

I used my watercolour pencils and added Distress Inking ‘Tea Dye’ to the birdie piece, layered up on foam pads.

Hope MIL likes is anyways…
Meanwhile lots to do today so must dash…. chores mostly but hopefully I’ll fit in time to edit my new crafty video for you…. Back soon, Rx

What a beautiful image and I love how you colored it in! The pretty lace gives it a subtle shabby chic look.
