Birthday idea: RetroSketch/ TimelessTuesday card

Hi there
Hope you are well and looking forward to the Easter break – it’s a good reason to be joyful as it’s a long weekend off work ;)

Here’s a card I made for a couple of new challenges this week… firstly over at RetroSketches #5, and also for Timeless Tuesday #163 at Flourishes, for a birthday card.

I think it could be nice for a masculine birthday:

birthday card challenge Retro Sketches rs5 Timeless Tuesday Flourishes FTTC 163 The background paper is new Echo Park ‘This & That – Charming’ as is the yellow stripe (I think) – from the same collection 6×6 pad. The circles are diecut with Nesties Scallop Circle and accented with gel pen.

The stamped gardening image is from the Flourishes ‘From the Garden’ set, coloured with my watercolour pencils, and the birthday greeting is from Papertrey Ink ‘Up, Up & Away’ set, with a bit of masking.

That’s all for now – see you soon – I’ll be sharing my Easter cards tomorrow ready for the weekend, as all the recipients (who are also readers of my bloggo!) will have received them,
Hugs, Rx

I love your card, how you followed the sketch and the papers you used! I really think that is a great masculine card. I know they are hard but I think yours is really nice :)

Wonderful card! Love the ruler paper in the background and your fun white wood grain texture. Your image compliments them perfectly!!

The colors and patterns go so well with your wonderful image Ruth! The white woodgrain makes a great backdrop for your focal image. Soooo HAPPY you joined us this week at RetroSketches!
