It’s time for a Sketch-on-Saturday idea folks
I am backtracking to make this number SOS41 as I got muddled for last week’s and skipped straight to 42! Anyways, here it is with an idea not strictly for a sketch, but to make a specifc kind of folded card:
I needed to make a card to say thanks for a wedding invitation we received this week, and the design of their invite was kraft with cream and bright turquoise ribbon, so I echoed this theme in the card I made and used it for my inspiration:
Just a CAS look, with a sticker strip cut lengthwise down the middle to make two scallop strips, it’s from the Crate Paper ‘Paper Heart’ border stickers.
Here’s a look at the ribbon closure, which is just tied by passing the ribbon through heart-punched holes… Cute…
I used a cream heart-cut aperture to line the card – it’s cut from the front of a pre-bought aperture card and is perfect here. I stamped the ‘acceptance’ message, in turquoise ink, using a peg alpha stamp set (Hampton Arts), and will simply write our reply inside the heart
Fun, and made that bit extra special by using the gatefold ‘sketch’ fold.
Back soon friends, Rx
