Cheery sweet card for sketch SOS43

Hi all
I have been enjoying a little crafting time today – a bit overdue as I have hardly found chance this week with a busy deadline at work. I’m pleased I have a few days off including the May Day Bank Holiday, to relax and squeeze in some creative fun ;)

Like today’s Sketch-on-Saturday idea, SOS43:

Sketch-on-Saturday sketch card idea inspiration SOS43 I was fancying a bit of circle diecutting when I drew up this one ;)

And here’s how my card shaped up:

Sketch-on-Saturday sketch card idea inspiration SOS43 Waltzing Mouse Stamps Crate PaperI used my Nesties to die cut a ‘Picot Edge Circle‘ in red card, and a ‘Standard Circle Small‘ in white, which I stamped using Waltzing Mouse Stamps ‘Vintage Circles, Small’ in red ink. They layer perfectly!
I fixed to my card with some edges overlapping the card edges, trimminmg away the excess, and used a Crate Paper ‘Farmhouse’ chipboard topper  of a sugar storage jar as the accent.

I spelt a ‘sweet’ greeting in Jillibean Soup alphas, and finished off with a snazzy sparkle ribbon. It was just one of a set of reels that I won in a challenge from Making it with Meslyn last year. Fun.

Off now as I am hoping to finish off a project I have been also working on today – for a magazine commission. Yes, I have been commissioned by the editor of one of the UK’s card making mags to make a set of cards for publication in one of her forthcoming issues. Can’t reveal them here for a while, but I wil be sure to keep you posted!

Meanwhile I hope you have good weekends, crafty pals, Rx
