Here’s a card I made yesterday evening – it was fun to have some proper crafting time to devote to card making, thanks to the holiday weekend
I had bookmarked the sketch for the latest My Favourite Things challenge MFTWSC70:
Here’s my card:
I went for a fresh spring look, using papers from the 6x6pad First Edition ‘Hideaway’.. these pads are massive value and have lots of glittered sheets. Love!
I layered up the top patterned panel and diecut some bright yellow MFT Die-namics ‘Small Scallop Borders’. A quick spritz of Studio Calico – Mister Huey’s ‘Calico Shine’ gives it of a pearly glow
I diecut a circle of card with my Nesties, also cut a Die-namics ‘Bracket Tab’ and the Die-namics ‘Butterflies’. The star of the show though is the little Pure Innocence cutie girl. She’s a digi-image which I bought at Heather Ellis‘ site and I used watercolouring and paper piecing to create her.
That’s more cute paper from the same pad for her dress – how sweet! I could use a pretty frock like that for summer myself
Just finished off then with a bit of doodling in fineliner pen and embellishing the butterfly with a button, plus the greeting is made with October Afternoon ‘Mini Market’ alphas.
Love this card. And I have an idea of who to send it to, to send a little friendly message
See you later alligators, Rx
