Birthday embossed card – ABNH#11

Hi all
Busy day yesterday (shopping… laundry… cinema in the evening…) but somehow woke up early this morning :(
Ah well, I was inspired to get crafty to make another card for the stash – here’s a birthday card spurred on by the new challenge over at A Blog Named Hero #11:

Here’s my card-

birthday card heat embossed challenge Hero Arts woodgrain stampI had the Hero Arts ‘Designer Woodgrain’ background stamp (S5208) out on my desk still. I had been using this one in a card set commission for a magazine, but its not on sale for a few weeks yet, so you’ll have to wait to see a peek of that one!!!…
Anyway, I LOVE this stamp so much, it is seriously worth its wait in gold – I used it to emboss a funky coral-peach piece on rich pink card.

I used ‘Pastel Peach’ embossing powder by WOW – the way the woodgrain pattern adds interest, in an unexpected colour is fab I think!

It’s all layered up with some glitter paper, a sticky ribbon strip, a scallop-edged printed journaling tab by Kaisercraft. Then I made a flowery focal point:

Finished with a greeting form the stasheroo – in just the perfect colours to match!

Loved this. It came together like a dream.
Back soon with more crafty fun, pals – see you soon I hope, Rx
