Hi there, how’s tricks crafty pals?
Good I hope…
I have another card to share today – managed to squeeze in a bit of stamping time to make this card for my cousin’s birthday. She just loves cupcakes so I know it will go down well
I’m entering it into the latest Cupcake Inspirations challenge #178 too – here’s the yummy inspiration pic:
This is my card:
I used the mouth-watering colour palette as inspiration for my whole card, but you can probably see it was the image itself with the cherry-topped cake that really inspired me to used this cupcake stamp (Papermaina by DoCrafts). The juicy cherry on top of the cake is just begging to be bitten into, hehe!
I stamped it and fussy cut then coloured with my watercolour pencils, using pretty aqua for that cherry-topped cake case like the inspiration pic. You can’t quite tell in my photo but I used Glossy Accents to add extra shine
The patterned paper for the card is from Wild Rose Studio ‘Butterfly Garden’ (mine was a limited edition 6x6pack free with a previous issue of Quick Cards Made Easy magazine, by Immediate Media Co. I have worked a few design sets by commission, for this magazine and love the variety of designs and techniques used in the mag – check it out if you get the chance!)
I added glittery shimmer to areas of the paper with Stickles and blending with my fingertip A few aqua gems finish off.
That’s all for now peeps, Rx
