Christmas CAS card – in non-traditional colours

Hi all

Had chance to rustle up another card – a quick CAS Christmas idea….
I was browsing my Pinterest boards for a bit of inspiration and for some reason this colour palette popped out at me… I wasn’t really thinking of a festive idea at the time, but somehow that’s how it developped!

I think I was figuring out it could be fun for a non-traditional Christmas palette, and I headed over to the Festive Friday challenge to combine these autumn colours with the latest challenge: FFC03 – snowflakes.

So enough of the chatter… here’s my card!

I went for the orange as the cardbase and used October Afternoon snowflake paper (Make It Merry?) plus a couple of stickers for the matching snowflake accent and greeting label.
A bit of gold twine and a button from the stasheroo finish off.

See you later alligators ;)

This is great Ruth. Fun and feisty colors for a wonderful time of year. Great layout of your design too. Great job. (I never get tired of seeing Christmas cards…no matter WHAT time of year it is!)

I’m always up for a fresh, non-traditional color combo, and these bold ones work well with the fun and festive sentiment! Sweet card! So glad you shared it with us!!

LOOOOVE it!!! You’re right, they’re SO not holiday colours, but that’s exactly what I love about it. It just works, and it’s so FUN! THANK YOU for playing along, I am just so glad you did!!
