Hope you are well and enjoying some of the better weather we’ve been having lately (at last!)
Sadly crafting has been a little thin on the ground recently – well crafting that I can share here on the bloggeroo anyway – thanks to the fact that I’ve been working on some big magazine commission projects. (Exciting!) I will share more about those closer to the time, and thankfully now they’re all taken care of, I’m able to get back to some creating that’s more for me!
Here’s a quick make I came up with yesterday… I was out for most of the day, catching up with a pal and her lovely new little baby… (I’ve just realised I think I never shared the cute card I the card I made for them on the arrival of their new bundle of joy – will have to post that in the next day or two!!)
Anyway, I rustled this one up for a couple of challenges when I got home and the light was still good – thanks to these gorgeous sunny days, I’m taking pics outdoors where it’s nice and bright!
Kept it nice and simple with just a bit of colourful washi tape for the background layer (October Afternoon ‘Woodland Park’) then a pair of dies – Papertrey Ink ‘Wonderful Words’ for the happy greeting in a punchy pop of black and this cute ‘Heart Banner’ which is by LaLa Land.
I added silver gems to the centres of the cutout hearts to add a little jazzy touch
I was inspired by the following card challenges:
Cas-ual Fridays 104 – Banners & Flags
and… Daring Cardmakers Colour Inspiration this week. Isn’t this a mouth-watering palette?….
Thanks for visiting then crafty pals, see you soon, Rx
