Hellooo there all my bloggy pals – hope you are well and have had a wonderful holiday, and much resting, playing, celebrating and eating(?) was done by all
We had a lovely time away, staying with our families and dividing the week between them both again this year. It’s always so nice to see everyone again and especially this Christmas to celebrate with my new nephew, James. (First, I’ll share a card with you, but you can look forward to a couple of gratituous cute baby shots coming up )
Here’s a card I’m sharing then as I made this one for my uncle’s birthday and to tie in with the Papertake Weekly Challenge – pick a fave challenge from the year. I’ve gone for ‘Hello to the Boys‘ since I needed a masculine card!
Simple is generally my preferred style for guy cards, so a bit of stamping using this gardening-theme image from ‘From the Garden’ by Flourishes, watercoloured and fussy-cut. I chose colours to tie in with the stripy chipboard tag I’ve had languishing in my stash…. for-e-ver! Good to use up those old bits and bobs!! (Especially as I’ve had a few goodies from Santa this year, lucky me – I shall share more news of those in my next post when I’ve had chance to play with them )
A few simple embellies – matching brads and twine, plus of course the stamped sentiment, which is from a PTI set, Up,Up & Away, cut into a banner shape.
Hope he likes it!
And of course, before I go, it’s time for some of those Christmas Day cutie-pie pics of James with his Auntie Ruth, and yes, I am wearing antlers. Obvs. Sorry you don’t get to see those in all their glory
