As is tradition(?) to look back at one’s crafty makes at this time of year, I’m putting together this update here at bloggo HQ for a little bit of my favourite inspirations from 2013
Here’s the frst part of my review… a few highlights of my own creative endeavours
I finally finished off my album of our Norway trip, with all the pages here:
I loved this mixy-matchy collagey card, using WMS:
This butterfly card was my fave CAS design of the year I think. (Though it does hold some disappointments too as I’d just bought that lovely butterfly die but it never worked in my ‘Bug This diecut was just a sample that it came with in the pack! Ah well, I am onto better things now as I’ve had a new Cuttlebug for Christmas, so maybe my slightly tempramental, detailed dies, that are tough to cut will work better in this one!)
This is another card I really loved, a pretty mixy-matchy design again. I didn’t want to send this one for ages, and kept it displayed on my shelf in my crafty den, until the perfect situation to send it came along
I really love how this next card came out as I’d been swooning for ages over getting this ‘The Sweet Life’ stamp set, from PTI, and when I did, this was my first try with the multi-step stamping. The papers and colours are so perfect I think
Here’s a post with a couple of non-card makes that meant a lot to me this year – one of which is this birth sampler for my new nephew James who arrived in August…
And then, I had to pick out a couple of fave Christmas cards, especially as it’s what I make most of all year long! Sadly I never get to share all my festive makes here on the bloggeroo – not by a long shot, I’m afraid, due to the busy time of year – but I still had lots of fun making them of course, especially thanks to the challenges that I love to join in with where possible. Like my bloggy pal, Meredith’s: Festive Fridays challenge – can’t wait for more from her in 2014!
So this card is one I love – and to think it uses one of the very first stamps I ever bought!
And this elegant poinsettia card – loved the beautiful sparkle on this one, though you can hardly get a feel for it in this pic!
I’ll be back tomorrow for part 2 of my round-up, starting the New Year off in style, with my fave inspirations I’ve spotted made by fellow crafters in 2013.
See you then, and happy New Year Rx
