In review.. 2013 part 2 – the inspiration

Hello again crafty pals!

So as I mentioned, I’m continuing my roundup of 2013 faves by sharing a few of the top inspirations I spotted from fellow crafters this year. Thanks to Pinterest (here’s my boards) I’ve been saving these up – and lots more besides, haha – to browse, drool over and to help boost me when my mojo does a runner!

In no particular order then…. Enjoy ;)
1. Here’s Nat’s stunning PTI ‘Sweet Life’ stamped roses card – aren’t these neutral shades just gorgeous?!

2. I couldn’t wait to get my inky paws on the Fresh Cut Florals set by WPlus9 (thanks Santa!) so I can try my hand at some of that beautiful floral arranging. I’ve lots of lovely examples pinned using this set, but my fave – and almost-impossibly brilliant – is this one by CAS-queen Debby Hughes:

3. Here’s a beauty then, by background stamper-extraordinaire, Meredith. Her pretty vintage chic always wows me and this Christmassy card was certainly no exception!

4. I really love a mixy-matchy layered, slightly whimsical style when I’m crafting and Shilo is a stamper who really captures this so beautifully – perfect paper combos, unfailingly great colouring and then she tops each card off with lovely embellies ;)
Here’s a classic I loved from her this year (can you guess why pandaholic-me chose this one, haha?!)

5, And I always adorable butterfly cards – making them and seeing more inspiration with them, so this card by super-talented Joy, as a masterpiece of clustering style, was a must-mention!

6, If it’s technique you’re after, this wow-factor ‘how to create the Northern Lights in ink’ is not to be missed. I’ve seen the Northern Lights and when I get a good bit of time in the crafty den this year, I’ll be devoting some time to playing with this method to try and recreate them myself. Like Lydia’s stunning example here. (The SCS tutorial link is at her blogpost by the way ;) )

7. And finally this on-trend, yet perfectly classic card from JJ. Those wide gold stripes are just super chic – I need to get practising more with this trendy look!

Hope you liked my 2013 inspiration picks from crafters I admire – have you got any recommendations to share that wowed you this past year? Leave me a comment as I’d love to check them out, and maybe add them to my blog feed too ;)

See you for more crafty fun soon then pals…. I’m going to make a brew and off to watch the new series of Sherlock in a mo, Rx
