Hello again crafty pals, I hope you are all well and the weather (wherever you are) is not too bad?
There’s been such wild and windy storms here in the South-West of the UK – lots of areas of the country are flooded, even some parts of our city, Bristol… but luckily we live on high ground, up a hill so we are safe. I hope wherever you are that you are safe, warm and dry!
With the first weekened of the year, I’ve had chance to do some playing – especially with some of my new crafty goodies that Santa brought me for Christmas
Perfect for playing along with Nat’s first 52 Cards Challenge of the New Year to use something new.
And also perfect to make a card for a pal… I had wanted to send her a Christmas card but didn’t know her new address, then we received a card from her on Christmas Eve (sadly not in time for me to make and send one to Canada then, especially before we went away for the hols!), so I’m making this as a New Year hello for her
Some of my new goodies used in making this card are ‘behind the scenes’ from the pic – that is, a new Cuttlebug (yay!) and a new cutting mat (always useful!) but you can also see that I used my new stamp and dies set: WPlus9 ‘Fresh Cut Florals’.
Stop me before I weep.
These are so lovely, people, I have had great fun diecutting LOTS of shapes and stamping LOTS of colour combos, whilst watching TV on Friday night. Then squeezed in some time yesterday to make this card with some of the blooms.
A pretty little posy to coordinate with paper from my friend’s fave company, Crate Paper. (It’s from 6×6 ‘Pretty Party’.)
They’re clustered up and layered onto a couple of Nesties die cuts, ‘Circles, Small‘ and ‘Picot Edge Circles‘ and then the whole thing is embellished up with a sentiment sticker (LilyBeeDesign, Sweet Shoppe) and various brads and enamel dots (all MME).
I used some extra little bits of the same patterned paper too, to decorate inside the card and the envelope.
All lovely, I do hope my friend likes it
Take care then and see you again soon, Rx
