Hope you are well and you had a happy Valentine’s Day?!
We are ok – apart from the terrible weather and heart-breaking floods everyone is having. (Luckily enough though many many nearby are severly affected, we live on a hill close to central Bristol so no floods for us. All the water is just draining down to the docks in the centre, but we are being battered by the wind and wild rain!)
And it was a nice Valentines – yes, the title of my post is applicable for two reasons as I had a beautiful bouquet of red roses from my hubby
I was off work in lieu of having to work tomorrow - ah well. I did a bit of cardmaking and purging in the crafty den so that was good.
Here’s a card for today though as I wanted to share this the other day – a beautiful bouquet idea that I made for the challenge at WPlus9 this week… ‘Step It Up’. Luckily it has been extended so I can add this
This challenge is right up my street (it would have worked for last week’s one too I think, … ‘In your Comfort Zone‘, but I didn’t get chance to make anything for that… busy, busy…).
All this layering is delicious and collagey inspiration is just my thing. And besides… I hardly need another excuse to play with my WPlus9 stamps ‘Fresh Cut Florals’ to layer up and create this pretty bouquet
They are so lovely! I think, I don’t need to have any new stamps ever again… I will just make cards with these from now on, ok? Or maybe not. (I *need* the ‘More Fresh Cuts’, haha!) No, but seriously, you might get bored of seeing me make beauties with these, I love them!!
Lovely paper layers, journaling spot layer, a sentiment sticker – to help mark the happy theme of WPlus9′s birthday, naturellement, (Doodlebug Design) popped up on foam pads for more dimension, and of course combining those diecut and stamped flowers.
I have topped up on my coloured ink stash to take full advantage of all the possibilities
Ok then, I have lots to do today so I’d better scoot – apart from anything, I need to capture a microsecond of daylight in between the crazy weather to photograph the cards I made yesterday
See you laters alligators – stay warm and dry and safe wherever you are! Rx
