Christmas sparkle – Merry Monday97

Hello all…
So I managed some time in the crafty den tonight – yay! I have had a bad, bad cold since all the festivities of last weekend (can’t take the pace at my age now, you know!) but I was feeling more like myself again today so headed to the craft zone for some creative team to feed the soul.

This week’s Merry Monday challenge #97, is a pretty colour combo: aqua, silver and white – I love this cool chic look…

… so I rustled up a bit of a CAS idea to add to the stash:

Christmas card challenge MerryMonday97 embossing icy colours snowflakesIt’s a sketch layout I’ve used before for Christmassy makes, as I love how the embossed snowflakes ( by C’Art Us) looks across the bottom section of a white card, and its easy to add a different stamped focal image/ greeting etc, up near the top.
Well, you can’t blame me for recycling a good idea – especially when I’m still quite blocked up and sniffly!!!

The stamp is from a clear set by Inkadinkado and I added the aqua touches in watercolour pencils, ribbon and with some Stickles…

Christmas card challenge MerryMonday97 embossing icy colours snowflakesI’d originally planned to use silver sparkle ribbon but turns out I only have a teeny scrap left on my spool – not enough for my card, grrr. Will have to stock up! So I thought, “ah well, I’ll use silver Stickles for that sparklyness”… ;)
Well, the silver gods must have other plans for me today, as I couldn’t find my silver Stickles ANYWHERE! Not even rolled off my desk, behind the radiator which is usually where they end up if I’m not careful. Aqua glitz it is.

So I’m not sure I really qualify for the challenge being as I faux-pas’d so royally on the metallic, ah well… it was fun to play and the card’s turned out nicely all the same ;)
Bye for now, Rx

This is one of my favorite layouts and one I use often! I love it in aqua! Thanks for sharing it with us at Merry Monday!
