This week has been quite the busy one so I’ve not had much chance for crafting or blogging for that matter, but here I am with a little inspiration
I thought I’d share a few of the cards I made for my birthday thank yous, today and in the next couple of posts… Plus also I have a peek of a very exciting birthday present that I got too!
Here’s my card for today then…
All very bright and springtimey
The butterfly is one of my fave stamps (WMS ‘Nordic Spring’), sparkled up with some gems. It’s on a pearlsecent blue cardstock with some flowery patterned paper (by First Edition, can’t remember the name of the pad), a flowery border tag by American Crafts (ricrac tied!) plus a Jillibean Soup greeting label. Finished it off with a border of Liquid Pearls.
Here’s a closeup of my fussycut butterfly- you can see how I popped up the edges of the wings on extra foam pads for a fluttery 3D effect
Meanwhile I promised you a peek at one of my very exciting brithday presents…. I got a fabulous photography studio setup – light tent plus lighting, from my mum, brother and SIL. It is what I have been wanting for a long time so what a treat to be able to ask them for this for my special birthday! I did lots of research online and picked out one that I hope will be great for taking blog pics any time of day (as you an see from my card pics taken using it today – taken in the evening!!!). And also I want to use it to take better photos for my etsy store. We can also use it for better eBay pics too WIN!
Here are some pics I snapped when unpacking it in the living room…
The boxes were like Russian Dolls, five of them all packed in, so we had a lot of cardboard recycling to do this week!!….
