So here am I again with another card to share, which was a thank you from my birthday goodies. I have barely had a chance to make anything new this week, thanks to a nuts schedule at work…. including time out of the office at a craft show in London, blahblah, you get the picture….
Here it is for you:I loved making this one!! Apart from the fact that this Hero Arts ‘Large Flower’ stamp is an all-time fave (ancient and well-loved), it was great fun becuase I bought a new set of proper watercolours – pans in a palette and everything(!), not just my good old trusty watercolour pencils which I know and love. I spent some of my birthday money on a beautiful set as I’ve been hankering after developping my skills, so a good few Youtube videos later and this was the first colouring experience as a result. (I did get warmed up with a couple of others with just wash backgrounds, before this, but this was my first proper colouring job!!) Chuffed
I was really pleased with the blending, and the painterly look to the sky too… I am converted now to my new paints!!
And it just needed a splash of gold thread, pearly button and a shimmery gold sticker, new MME (which just ended up looking brown in the photo, sorry, haha!), to finish
I’m itching to get crafty again this weekend – I had the afternoon off work as my friends who work on a sister magazine to the one I am editor of, Quick Cards Made Easy, hosted a fabulous Stampin’ Up party in the office. The demonstrator was a lovely lady called Amy, and it was all great fun, and of course I had to place a bit of an order. So tempting! So I can’t wait to get my treats!
Bye for now then, have a good weekend whatever you get up to, crafty friends, Rx
