Birthday fun

Hello crafty pals… here’s another card idea to share, which I made for my good friend Rosee, whose birthday is today ;)
She is the kind of person who will really appreciate this sentiment – making the most of the here and now.

And that woodgrain background – also Hero Arts – is an old favourite, and I heat embossed it on black with a glittery copper embossing powder (‘Copper’ ZING by American Crafts). Love this effect. It just reminds me that I don’t heat emboss as often as I should – isn’t it great?! I have lots of powders, mostly by WOW, but also these ZING in all sorts of fancy colours, so will have to remember to get them out much more often ;)
Take a look at that fab sparkle it has when it catches the light…

I’ll be entering this into a couple of challenges-
Nat’s new 52 Card Challenge (wk15): ‘All creatures great and small’ and…
the WOW April challenge ‘Metal’ – that coppery shimmer is perfect ;)

See you laters, alligators, Rx
