Hello again crafty pals – I expect you have been wondering what has happened to me!?
A little blogging hiatus, partly as I have been busy with life (includng a week or so of feeling not very well with nasty cold/ sore throat infection), also very few cards have been made round here, as I have been enjoying picking up some other crafty pursuits again. A little patchwork… knitting… quite a bit of cross stitching…
I will have to share some more photos of those things
Anyway, I managed to tidy up my crafty desk yesterday (which in times like these becomes a bit of a dumping ground!) and make a card.
Just a fun chance to get collagey and mix up some pretty things, all inspired by the new challenge at Country View Crafts Challenge #15, ‘Nature’s Glories’
Well, if youre a regular reader here, you’ll know I can’t resist butterflies, and this one is just such a stunner! Even if it has a little sad story and I can’t help think of that when I use it… <weep>…
It was a die I bought ages ago (Cheery Lynn, I think) and sadly it didn’t properly cut in my ‘Bug, but the shop I bought it form didn’t want to replace it as it cuts ok in their die cutter. They persuaded me to buy an (expensive) metal shim plate, but that doesn’t help, so I was stuck with a die that doesn’t work and shim that I don’t need. Ah well.
The butterfly has gone to a very happy home now where it does get some good cutting action, with a fellow crafty pal, but I miss it. Ah well! It’s new owner sent me this diecut to enjoy playing with
I’ve since bought other pretty butterfly dies (not by Cheery Lynn, nor from that same retailer I may add) – fingers crossed they will serve me happily for many good cuts!!!
Bye for now then, thanks so much for visiting and for your kind comments, Rx
