Hello crafty pals!
How’s tricks? Here’s a card to share… another Christmassy make to add to my stash. Thanks to the fancy wreath design, I’m entering this into the new challenge over at Festive Friday #39 – inspired by the following pic…
My card is a design I made at Amy’s SU class I went on, and I LOVE the effect
It’s a fancy fold shaped card, I’m not 100% what the proper description is – reverse double zig-zag, I’m thinking?
And diecut shaped too (SU Framelits, ‘Window Frames’). You can see how the fold works better here:
But the star of the show is this wreath for the front panel. It’s made from the doily-style medallion stamps, SU ‘Daydream Medallions’ (diecut using SU Framelits ‘Floral Frames’). Stamped and rotated, with thanks to the Stamp-a-ma-jig and layered up – then accented with gold glitter glue. What a great look!
The sentiment is from the SU set ‘Greetings of the Season’, and – cleverly for a perfect red cardstock match (and if you don’t have the right colour ribbon!) – a cardstock bow, assembled using punched shapes… ovals and banner ribbons!!!
Happy days. Hoping to get back in the crafty den again today, and work on a few more cards. I have a magazine commission to get busy with (which I’ll have to keep secret for a while, sorry) but I’ll be back with something I can share for you
